London's Greatest Summer

By Jane Johnson

The London Lifestyle Awards have shortlisted their 2012 nominations this month. An astonishing 4127 applications were made earlier this year; a phenomenal figure to whittle a down! The shortlist now totals 202 applicants, all hoping to scoop an award for their contribution to the Capital's buzzing ambience. Below is a sneak preview of some of the prestigious titles ripe for the picking:

'London Member's Club of the Year' 'London Bar of the Year' 'Outstanding Contribution to London' 'London Live Music Event of the Year' 'London Hotel of the Year'

The voting has already begun and will remain open until the end of September. With many influential companies and superb, aspirational personalities hoping to take their crown of glory, this year is set to be the largest and most lavish awards' ceremony to date.

2012 has proved a lively year for London and the UK, to say the very least! What with the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and the Olympic games, all eyes have been watching the Capital to see what types of entertainment it has in store and how well it can deliver. The London Lifestyle Awards have obviously struck a chord with voting members of the public and influential figureheads alike: Prince Harry and Boris Johnson are particularly fond of the ceremonies.

In times of economical trouble and hardship, it's refreshing to host something the nation can be proud of. Just like the opening ceremony of the games, London has proved to the World that they still know how to put on a show. Hospitality is still very much a booming trade in these parts, with many renowned companies proud to call London their home.

Home House of London is a private members' club second to no other. They will be hoping to retain their crown of 'London's Member's Club of the Year' this October. Home House is a true gem, nestled in the heart of the capital. It offers the very best in customer service, decor and ambience. Proud of its history and welcoming of the future, Home House is a firm people's favourite and, once again, deserving of the title - 'London's Member's Club of the Year'.
