How The Updated Google Panda Impacts Online Business

By Sandy Carter

Google Search lead man Amit Singhal in one meeting said that Google renders up to 500 algorithm changes in a year. This is not surprising knowing that Google desires the best search experience for its end users. Just lately, Google released 40 changes to the search experience. Most of these modifications focused on enhancing the user interface. For example, soon there will be larger images for the thumbnails, localized prediction for hot searches, with others. As far as the search rankings in Google is concerned, the recent changes included an update to the Google Algorithm, Panda.

Google Panda Upgrade: A Note To Web Based Business Owners

Many site owners are attentively watching the impact to ranking of the new Panda upgrade. According to Google, the new update will make the Panda system more precise and more sensitive to recent changes on the web.

The two words that website owners need to cautiously watch out for are correct and recent. When Google Panda was released last year it impacted websites which mainly relied on article from article farms. Article farms offer at no cost content but the quality, timeliness, and significance of these content are more often than not out of focus. Those websites which regularly wrote onsite and offsite well-timed content did not feel the Panda kick in the least bit.

If Your Website Is Aligned With Google, It Will Outlive Algorithm Updates

Website owners must not feel scared that some big alterations are happening if solely they are buddies with Google. To be buddies with Google is to be preferred by Google. And to be liked Google, websites simply need to give what Google wants. Google wants just one thing and that is content. Frequently updating one's site with excellent content that visitors can benefit from will make Google rank this site high.

What does a pertinent content look like before Google's eyes? One resource to use is Google Trends, which gives data on searches and topics which are trending over the web given a specific time period. Keep in mind, websites that offer high quality content that are pertinent and timely will obtain Google's vote as being the credible site.
