The Photojournalism Type OF Wedding Photography

By Charlie Michaels

Choosing a photography approach for a wedding affects how the wedding day will be recalled for years to come. Though there are still needs for customary wedding photography, the demands for such have significantly lowered nowadays. Most betrothed couples in Singapore now prefer a bolder approach in photography approach. They prefer to have pictures that show the true happening in their wedding instead of pictures that see them and their visitors posing and smiling for the camera. There may be instances in the wedding that they are not aware that their photo is being taken, but that's precisely how they want their photos taken.

Many wedding photographers in Singapore provide such wedding photography type, which is known as reportage photography or photojournalism. With photojournalism, the couples don't need to stop and pose for the camera every time. They can act natural and let the photographer shoot pictures whenever the photographer thinks a worthy moment should be taken. As a result, photographers are able to take natural-looking pictures that catch the true mood of the event.

The photographer can capture authentic feelings that way since the couple and their guests don't need to pose and give their best smile in front of the camera. Fleeting but dear instances that are nearly impossible to be replicated and therefore must be taken on camera include the time when the bride's father sheds a tear as he gives his daughter away to her new husband, when the tired flower girl tries hard to keep her eyes open during the ceremony, and when the groom steals an admiring glance at his wife. These are instances that must be captured on camera because they make the wedding real.

But that doesn't mean that traditional photography isn't practiced anymore in weddings. In fact, it's almost necessary as well. The photographer has a list of must-take shots, that include the bride and the groom posing with each other before and after the wedding and the entire family posing with the newlywed couple right after the wedding. But what couples favour is to have most of the images unscripted.

A singapore wedding photographer normally offers both traditional and photojournalism photography for wedding events. However, many couples these days choose a combination of two styles. They have a list of shots that they want captured and they also want a reportage photography method on their wedding.
