The Meteoric Rise Of Fabiola Sicily

By Jill Faulkner

New names in the film world are nothing new. There are so many people that come and go that the public do not always take notice, at least not at first. Fabiola Sicily is one of those newcomers destined to make a mark. Most people recognize her for her role in the Disney film Prom, playing the role of Jessica. Since then, however, she has been very busy indeed.

This promising actress is from Indonesian and European descent, but she was born and raised in Indonesia. She started working hard at an early age by taking singing, acting and dancing lessons, pursuing her dream to become a performer of note. After appearing in some plays in her home country she made a big leap and moved to California to further her budding career.

She first made people sit up and take notice when she appeared on the television series Everyone Wants Theirs. The Disney Channel was quick to grab her for Joey and We Burning Up. With the success achieved through Disney, she landed an important supporting role in Brando Unauthorized, playing the character of Thanh. She quickly got offers to appear in Omission, What Goes Around Comes Around and Tattoo.

She most certainly does not restrict her activities to acting. She has stated unequivocally that she intends to explore and display all of her many talents. That is why she tried her hand at dubbing, playing the role of the princess in the animation movie Mongol Rise of the Genghis Kahn, a triumph for her. She has appeared in several music videos and she has been the subject of several successful photo shoots.

In her latest role the 2013 movie A Malibu Horror Story, she plays the role of Erica. She shares the screen with Rick Chambers, Parker Croft, Emily Mest and Charlie Farr, amongst others. Previews have been received very favorably. In 2012 she played the teenage bank robber in the television movie Teenage Bank Heist. Hollywood rumors have it that she has been offered several exciting new roles.

One wonders why such a fuss is made of this relative new arrival in Hollywood. The critics love her, the studios adore her and she has built a large fan base in a very short period of time. Perhaps it is because she takes each role seriously and because she works very hard to make the part her own. Or perhaps it is because she has few pretensions and airs.

Not even the lady herself knows exactly what the future holds for her. She simply refuses to commit herself to a single career and remains adamant that she wants to explore all the possibilities and opportunities that come her way. Those in the know certainly seems to agree that this new rising star is one to watch because she will be a household name for a long time.

Fabiola Sicily may have attracted attention in the first place with her beautiful looks but she very quickly proved that she is not just an empty headed pretty face. She has talent and she works hard at developing even further. There can be little doubt that the world will be hearing much more from her.
