Art, more than anything else, should be a platform designed for the purpose of expression. Everyone has their own messages to convey, which is fortunate when given the fact that various mediums can be utilized in order for said messages to rise to the forefront. Did you know, though, that there is a greater level of value to be had with writing? Those who are in the process of pursing art education should note how writing can serve as something of an outlet.
It's easy to see that writers can get involved in a number of professions, depending on where their interests lie. For example, if you are someone who is into marketing, you may be able to construct press releases and the like. If you are heavy into game design, your skills can come into effect for the sake of creating strong narratives. As you can see, writing has an influence in art school but what about the ways in which writing can be brought into effect outside of it?
To this day, creative writing is an activity I highly respect. This does not mean that I was able to do it all the time, given the amount of time that work and school alike took while I was earning my own degree. However, I was still able to make a minimal amount of time, each week, to write with a free mindset. I wasn't confined to any restrictions, which meant that I was able to let my imagination run free, whether it was through short stories, blog posts, or what have you.
If you're looking to remain social with others, who's to say that writing cannot be utilized? Not everyone is able to engage in face-to-face conversation, which means that other avenues of engagement must be taken instead. Fortunately, writing can bring together like-minded individuals, seeing as how they will read material based on the interests they have. When this is done, conversation can be made more easily, thereby increasing the likelihood of networking being done well.

What this means is that it is possible for potential workers to integrate themselves in various companies before they provide the best services imaginable. However, it would be a lie to say that this is all that writing does. For many, writing serves as a gateway of communication, meaning that those who aren't the most social can find value in it all the same.
