If the strips are on its end already, then go on with the new one and start to wrap until the clothesline are all covered.
However, the best way to deal with it would be by using pins and holding them into its place while other stitches are being coiled. Then those edges just have to be hidden by wrapping them together with a new one and overlapping them. That way, the coil would look neater and well organized.
Now, time to coil the clothesline into what shape it is supposed to be in. If oblong is the shape that has been chosen, then start with tying to fold the clothesline back into itself by making straight line then build the coil shape from the guide.
