A world with no music can be likened to a place that we usually stumble upon in books with sinister plots, a gloomy and lackluster place that is far from what we are used to. A certain band referred to as The Beatles once created a song called "The Sound Of Silence", it tells of a world that is with no sound and music. And if one listens close enough, she or he can almost catch a glimpse of the painfully boring existence that is being described in the composition, a life that nearly all of us cannot even begin to picture.
We feel this way since humans have always had a natural inclination and affinity towards music, there is just something about it that adds a touch of colour and inspiration to everything that we do.
But there are also individuals who are drawn to music more than the rest of us, these are the individuals who sometimes choose to build a career out of that passion for music, or just hone their skills to be able to open new doors to the art of music.
For the quite a long time, people have been saying that you are either born with a talent for music, or you are not, and for countless years, we have believed this statement to be factual. But the situation is slowly changing, and we are becoming a bit more open-minded, and we have learned that just like any other ability, the skill for music can be trained and eventually mastered if given sufficient time and effort.
But let us not forget that there will always be those that are just born with breath-taking singing voices or superhuman instrument playing reflexes, the only difference is now, even people who were not born with the skill have the chance to polish their skills in a music school and ultimately turn out to be just as brilliant.
Hopeful musicians can choose from a variety of music lessons, from varying levels of vocal instruction, to musical instrument lessons like guitar and keyboard programs, there are even music schools that have short courses on musical directing and composition.
In a world where anything is possible, do not let stereotypes and negative attitudes block your way, believe in yourself and seize that ticket to your dream.
