Television Shows You Should Not Miss This Year

Up to now, 2013 has produced some fantastic television shows, but there are some that appear to be shining just a little more than others. We've reviewed the most well-liked shows to bring to you the very best six. First up is Game of Thrones. Based on the bestselling books by George R. R. Martin, this HBO show regularly draws in audiences with its provocative blend of drama, faith and civil war.

Scoring points with television viewers is Breaking Bad. A show around a chemistry teacher, Water White, and his new life of crime. He turns to meth production to fund his cancer therapy, but how long can he sustain this charade, and hide it from his loved ones?

You've also probably heard people raving about Dexter. The show is about an LA cop who murders serial killers. This morally ambiguous show gets great ratings each week.

Based on Sara Shepard's fiction, Pretty Little Liars tells the tale of a group of teenagers who are being threatened by someone mysterious, all after one of their own vanishes. This series has viewers hooked.

If you're into a little history from the 60s, you are going to love Mad Men. It's based on the advertising industry in that period and you get to meet guys that think the whole world belongs to them and ladies who know that their place in the office is to be an assistant. One, Peggy Olsen, won't be put in her place and challenges men to rise in her career.

You can't mention 2013 television shows without talking about Parks and Recreation. Meet Leslie Knope, the Assistant Director of the Pawnee Parks and Recreation Team. Her boss hates his job and hates federal government and her fellow workers are equally as apathetic. She has to try and do whatever she can to help keep the department active, and her overzealousness is often entertaining.
