Drinking Shardonnay in NYC

By Jeff Myers

Too infrequently do folk bask in the rich history of Chardonnay. Its history is enough to dampen the palate and enrich the mind allowing folks to brilliantly show off its history at parties and social events. Chardonnay is a beverage for fans and casual drinkers alike permitting all to partake in the elegance of correct drink and classy socialisation.

Origins

Perhaps one of chardonnay's most engaging characteristics is its origin. Very like its taste the history of chardonnay leaves it to be a puzzling and curious wine. It's likeliest origins are from the town of Chardonnay in the Burgundy wine region of southern France. It is from here that its name most likely is derived, very like Champagne is derived from the Bubbly region of France. The French ahead of Californians have the wine market cornered and this places Chardonnay's historical background even nearer to the center of the French and the homely quality of belonging to a slot French town allowing for more character to the name "chardonnay" itself.

Chardonnay's Travel to the United States

Not everyone can travel to France to enjoy chardonnay but rather plenty will be well placed to find themselves enjoying it in wine bars in New York City. Chardonnay is a fave among many people inhabiting New York City wine bars, but how exactly did the wine get there? Curiously the move to the United States came during a craze of cheaply imported wines called "chablis" into the US. Chablis referred to most of the French dry table wines from the Chardonnay grape in the US and later the name would simply be collapsed to what's now drunk in New York City wine bars as simply "chardonnay".

Classic New York

The classic New York style chardonnay that is being consumed the most really comes not from a single specific type of chardonnay but from a range of different chardonnays that are slick and creamy on the palate and lightly fermented. In America the classifications on wines are far more slack compared with the specificity of the French, so sipping a chardonnay in NY is sure to yield different pleasurable results than it basically would in France. This allows for the expansion in a number of firms and labels making different chardonnays enjoyed by drinkers and enthusiasts across New York City wine bars.

Benefits of drinking a New York Chardonnay

Drinking a chardonnay from New York means more flavor in contrast to other bits of the U. S.. The Chardonnay grape is well suited for the climate of NY which is cool and allows for a more precise and classy ripening of the grape itself making allowances for a rather more pleasurable bottle of wine that can't be received elsewhere in the US.

Chardonnay's presence and history is such that should be enjoyed internationally and in the US. It's presence traditionally has left a tasty palate for drinkers alike around the world and provided a rich cultural integrity that can be carried on the shoulders of connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike.
